I don’t think this leaves a white cast on me, but it might for someone with a darker skin tone. This is the only mineral sunscreen stick I have ever used that actually blends into my skin, and is easy to rub in. I always keep this with me for easy re-application. MD science solar stick SPF 40 titanium dioxide 8.1% zinc oxide 6%: this stick is white and not tinted. I love that it has ONLY ZINC, and that SPF level is AMAZING. Did not break me out which is a plus!! Also, this one did NOT leave a white cast on me at all, and my skin was matte and not greasy at all. Felt super light on the skin and not heavy. This has such a creamy gel like texture, and blends into the skin so SMOOTHLY. Sonrei Clearly Zinc mineral gel sunscreen SPF 60 Zinc oxide 24%: I LOVE this sunscreen in the summer.

Water resistant is a plus too, just wish it had a higher SPF. It almost reminds me of a BB cream VS an SPF. It was not at all greasy, and made my skin look so healthy. Being fair skinned, it’s hard to find a tinted mineral sunscreen that blends in well, and doesn’t make me look orange. MD Solar sciences tinted mineral crème SPF 30 titanium dioxide 2% zinc oxide 17%: I actually really love this one. If anyone has any other mineral formulas they have loved not listed, let me know!! I spent a lot of my summers as a teenager baking in the sun, so now I don’t go anywhere without SPF 😅 I only used mineral based formulas as chemical sunscreen does NOT get along with my skin. I am super fair, and have acne prone sensitive skin. Hello everyone!! Just sharing some of the mineral sunscreens I have tried, and my reviews of them. Luckily, there have been major formula breakthroughs in the realm of mineral sunscreen. For people with darker skin tones, mineral sunscreen was not user-friendly. In the past, mineral sunscreen formulas had one major drawback: because zinc and titanium serve as a literal physical barrier to protect your skin (opposed to chemical SPFs, which create a reaction where they absorb UV rays, transform them into heat, then release them), they were usually thick, goopy, and left skin with an icky white residue. The Food and Drug Administration is proposing major chances to sunscreen regulations, sharing that the only SPF active ingredients that are officially recognized as safe and effective are those found in mineral sun protection: zinc oxide and titanium oxide.
